This is a brilliant learning/tuition centre! My child has been here since year 5 and has seen improvements in Maths, English and Verbal Reasoning and especially has improved their self learning capabilities. The teachers are second to none, and sometimes spend that extra bit of time with the individual child to make sure all gaps are covered. They do not work with any computers or technology, focussing on papers and pens/pencils only which is important. The people that run the centre are very nice people and understand the children's and parents need at an individual level where they have helped us build out our child's path for learning. Result: My child's KS2 results came out amazing with high marks :). May this continue. Thank you OLC!

Over last ten years, both of my children attended The After-School Learning Centre.First my daughter started attending English lessons and she had such a positive experience resulting in improved skills in English language and later achieving a great GCSE results. We were very impressed with a quality of teaching and professionalism.Last year, my son started attending English language and Literature GCSE lessons. His work improved and he feels more confident approaching his GCSE exams. He enjoys his lessons and he even wants to do extra sessions during the Easter break!!!Mr Vassos, his wife and whole team are very professional and nice people. Over 12 years ago my son who is now a graduate attended The After school Learning centre and I was highly impressed at the teaching and how he improved in maths within a couple of weeks. The Director, Vassos and his teachers are very experienced and help students tailored to their needs. I recently returned for my Daughter in Yr 5 to attend lessons and same quality of teaching and dedication to learning for students as I previously experienced. You instantly get feedback of how your child is getting on after lessons, which is great. My daughter is more confidence in her subject since she started and enjoys attending. I would like to thank The After School Learning Centre for helping and caring for my daughter when she was at the bottom of her class. She has become a confident young girl and has caught up with her peers.

I WOULD HAVE GIVEN THEM A ZERO OF IT WERE POSSIBLE, THEY ARE NOTHING BUT TIME WASTERS AND ARE JUST MAKE SURE TO TAKE YOUR MONEY IN ADVANCE SO YOU ARE FORCED TO STAY WITH THEM AND NOT MOVE TUITION CENTRES. THEY PROVIDE LOW QUALITY TEACHING AND SUPPLY STUDENTS WITH RESOURCES THAT ARE WELL KNOWN TO STUDENTS AND CAN BE FOUND ONLINE FOR FREE. THE SO CALLED "TUITION CENTRE" CONSTANTLY SMELLS OF BLEACH THANKS TO THE OWNER ALWAYS CLEANING, MORE SPECIFICALLY SCRUBBING THE TOILET WHILST STUDENTS ARE "BEING TAUGHT". I HAVE ASTHMA AND THIS WAS ALWAYS A PROBLEM FOR ME. ALWAYS IN A RUSH TO FINISH EACH SESSION AND SEND STUDENTS HOME ASAP. I JOINED AS A STUDENT FOR ENGLISH LANGUAGE, LITERATURE AND SCIENCE. IN THE MIDST OF BEING A STUDENT THERE, AFTER TWO LESSONS OF EACH SUBJECT I REALISED THAT THIS WASN;T GOING TO BENEFIT ME. I HAD ALWAYS BEEN A BERY HIGH ACHIEVER AT SCHOOL, I ONLY NEEDED TUITION TO COVER FOR THE LESSONS I MISSED AT SCHOOL DUE TO AN EXTREME MEDICAL ILLNESS. THE SESSIONS ARE SAID TO BE ONE HOUR LONG HOWEVER THEY ARE REALY 40MIN AND I CAN EXPLAIN WHY. FIRSTLY, IT TAKES 5 MIN FOR THE TEACHER TO ARRIVE OR START WORK WITH US, SECONDLY, WE ARE MADE TO PACK OUR BAGS AND FOLDERS ETC 5 MIN EARLY SO THE NEXT GROUP CAN COME IN AND THIRDLY, THE WORST OF ALL THAT REALLY ANNOYED ME AS A STUDENT WAS THE OWNER/"SUPERVISOR" WOULD COME IN AND STOP THE LESSON AND ASK THE TEACHER TO WRITE A STATEMENT ABOUT OUR LESSON AND HOW WELL WE DID, HE WOULD ALWAYS EXAGGERATE THE AMOUNT OF WORK WE COMPLETED AND EMAIL IT TO OUR PARENTS RIGHT AFTER, THIS WOULD NORMALLY TAKE 10 MIN. THIS IS A GENUINE REVIEW OF THE TUITION CENTRE AND I WOULD LIKE TO MENTION THAT AS A STUDENT I REALLY DID WANT TO LEARN AND HAVE ALWAYS BEEN FOCUSED ON MY ACADEMIC PROGRESS AND THIS IS NOT SOME KIND OF A RANT BECAUSE I HAD A DISPUTE WITH A TEACHER OR SOMETHING. **I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND OTHER TUITION CENTRES SUCH AS BEXT TUTROS IN UPPER EDMONTON, IT IS AMAZING THEY HAVE HELPED ME SO SO MUCH AND DON'T TAKE MONEY IN ADVANCE.** EDIT** : I AM A STUDENT HOW CAN YOU TELL IF AM I STUDENT OR NOT FROM MY USERNAME. I highly recommend this company to all, my daughter lacked confidence in English and after 12 sessions her grade when from a predicted 6 to her passing her GCSE with a 8 and only 3 points from a 9. The staff are very friendly and very knowledgeable.

The learning centre helped to coach me in how to answer questions to get the full amount of marks. This has been so helpful to me throughout GCSE and A Level. I would highly recommend to any student who wants to push their grades further.

My son attended Easter revison workshops for GCSE Sciences. He was very happy with the content and, along with all of his other revision activities, saw his grades improve compared to his mock exams. Biology grade 6 to grade 8; Chemistry grade 7 to grade 8 and Physics grade 8 to grade 9. No hesitation in recommending.

The Learning Centre has not only helped me to achieve outstanding grades, but it has also helped me to feel comfortable asking teachers for help and become very confident in the subjects I was helped in there. I am so grateful for all the support I was given.

Our three children have been attending Early Learning Centre regularly for many years for a number of subjects. We find thier professional and friendly manner a wonderful stable in the educational lives of our children. Each one has benefited from the teachers and the learning is centered around each child. They have always provided excellent support, even through the lockdowns lessons continued online via zoom. And homework is additionally given each week. Would highly recommend as the staff and teachers are responsive to our child's needs.Wonderful centre!

My son is very happy at The Learning Centre.He has progressed very quickly while having a great time .He enjoys his math and english classes and is always looking forward to it.

This autumn, My daughter attended Story Writing Master class organised by The Learning Centre in Oakwood N14 and she enjoyed the three day programme a lot. The Learning Centre tproved to be a great environment and the Story Writing Master class gave my daughter the push she needed to practice and geton with the creative writing. Not only they introduced the concepts of creative writing but also ensured that my daughter has practiced these with enough exercises for the duration of the programme. Overall she had a great experience with The Learning Centre.

I was very happy with the education both my children received at The Learning Centre. They enjoyed learning amongst other children in small groups rather than on a one to one basis.They ended up in the right secondary schools (St Albans High School for girls and St Johns secondary school), both passing their 11 plus exams having been prepared to a great standard by the teachers at The Learning Centre.Thank you Vassos and team!

We have enrolled both our children at The Learning Centre and they have been attending from primary year 2. We have noticed a big improvement in their abilty, resulting in greater confidence and enjoyment of the subjects taught. They really like their teachers, learn more things than they do at school and never complain about the homework. Would definitely recommend.

The learning centre is a happy and safe enviroment for all. The staff and teachers are very professional and their top priority is always the welfare and education of their students.I have 3 daughters who have all attended the learning centre over the years, and with their tutors guidance have excelled and received excellent exam results. I cannot recommend the learning centre highly enough.

Only good things to say about this place.I enrolled my son to the Science lessons as he moved from primary to secondary. Unfortunately, Science was not the strongest subject taught at his primary and he was overwhelmed with the level of the Science lessons when he started Y7. I have to say that Vassos and the team were brilliant and in less than a year he caught up with the class. He is in Y10 now, top of his class at Science, love the subject and full of confidence.This experience encouraged us to enrolled our daughter (at Y5 while still in Primary) for Eng and Maths lessons as we became aware of the importance of a good SATS results at Y6 and a good start of Y7 at secondary school. Highly recommended.

The Leaning Centre has been a fantastic support to my child's education - especially with the gaps in his learning due to covid. The lessons are tailored to his academic needs and the tutors provide good working models whereby he can follow and process the information at a pace that moves his learning on. The homework is also bespoke and consolidates the learning for that lesson. First class service.

The ‘Story Writing Masterclass’ offered by The After School Learning Centre has really helped my son improve his creative writing. It has taught him how to confidently structure and design a story composition, helping him organize his ideas and thoughts resulting in exciting stories which I have thoroughly enjoyed reading. This is his third attendance of the highly sought after course and each time he improves his story telling considerably. Vassos and his team make the course extremely enjoyable and my son always looks forward to the next one.

We had a bad experience here. My daughter left in tears. I tried calling up to resolve but they offered nothing to help her feel more confident there. We cut our losses and she didn’t go back even though we had paid for it. I was astounded how they seemed to blame my daughter for the issues, no offer to even check with the teacher!It’s probably the worst experience with 11 plus tuition we have had.
